Do you think this song would be too slow for a 1st dance?

My mom keeps suggesting we do Lucky by Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat, but I feel that everyone is doing that song these days and I want something different.

    I don't think that is slow at all!  It's so pretty.  I say go for it. 

    FWIW, my mom didn't like our first dance song choice either (Chicago's "You're the Inspiration").  She kept pushing Elvis' "Can't Help Falling in Love".  I just said, as sweetly as possible, "Mom, this is OUR first dance, and we've chosen a song that is meaningful to us."  She was on board after that.
