ceremony music...help

I am not sure if a violin and a cello would sound good for a ceremony? '
Has anybody ever been to a wedding where they used these instead of a trio or quartet?

I have a cousin who plays the cello and one who plays the violin and they sound wonderful together.

That would be beautiful, you just have to understand that the harmonies won't be quite as fleshed out as they would be for a 3 or 4 part chamber group.  Violin and cello is a common duet combo in classical music, you can probably hear some examples quite easily on the itunes store or on utube.
