funny how you never notice these details until you have to plan them out yourself, huh?

the processional...does the song have to last the exact amount of time it takes the bride to get to the front, or does the dj/musician fade it out if the bride arrives and it's still got awhile left? how does that work?

Whoever is in charge of the ceremony music should be able to fade the song out. So as long as you don't have something that's too short, you should be fine.
