I have some issues with my Dad, mainly because he was kid of a jerk growing up. But in his jerkness, he taught me how to be indepedant and my own person, since I couldn't really rely on him. I'm thankful for that. He also taught me the importance of honesty and a sense of humor.
He is a simple man with good intentions, just BAD execution. I'm trying to find a song to thank him for being the best dad he was able to be, but without the butterfly kisses-daddy's little girl-he loved me first horse poo that I can't really get behind.
I've scoured a lot of places and I've come up with My Wish by Rascal Flatts, Good night My Angel by Billy Joel and if I had the onions, I'd play Winter by Tori Amos.
Any other suggestions?
