I wanted to dance with my dad, w song that reminds me of him, more than a traditional father-daughter song. Would that be weird?

Not at all.  I danced with my dad to "What I Did For Love" from the musical A Chorus Line, because it has special meaning to us.  Definitely not a typical F/D dance song.

Not weird at all. The whole point of the father daughter dance is a special moment between you and your dad. Even if there are people who would've done it differently it doesn't matter, it's a moment for the two of you. I say go with whatever means the most to you rather than tradition, you'll be much happier you did in the end.
