So my fiance and I have been endlessly researching first dance songs. Specifically, I want the song to be by a relatively unknown artist. I just want something unique instead of all these popular, well-known first dance songs. After months of searching, I think I may have found it. This song is by a Canadian artist named Julie Crochetiere (Julie C for short), and it is titled "When Stars Align." in its entirety along with reading the lyrics. After doing that, I would love to hear everyone's opinion as to whether or not this is a good first dance song.
The message of the song seems to be fighting to get what you want, but is it necessarily a love song? I think it has too much of a theme of struggling, and then followed by a feeling of accomplishment. To me, love does not seem to be a prevailing theme, but what does everyone think?
