STUPID STUPID STUPID

Have you guys made any stupid, dumb, WR mistakes so far?

Fiance and I did something absolutely idiotic (but kind of laughable). We ordered our rehearsal dinner invites off of vistaprint with a groupon we had. They actually came out really nice, considering that they were practically free with the groupon. We did the envelope upgrade thing, too, so they have a border that matches the invite pattern.

Wellllll, on the back flap of the upgraded envelope, we THOUGHT we had put FMIL and FFIL's name and address. The upgraded envelopes ended up being printed with the RESTAURANT NAME.  So it looks like the invitations are being sent by The Osteria Pronto (the name of our rehearsal dinner restaurant.) I HAVE NO IDEA why this happened - I specifically remember typing out my in-law's address for this part. The annoying part is, the address IS SO HUGE I don't think we can cover it up.  If we used these envelopes, guests might think the restaurant was inviting them to a party.

  • hahahahahaha sorry that's terrible! Could you just order some envelopes? I'm assuming if they're from VP they are standard-sized. That stinks though!

  • did you look at your order email to see if it was supposed to be like that?  They did an oops once with us too and they ended up fixing it for us and we got free shipping!
  • My VP wedding invitations did the same thing. I emailed VP, told them I specific typed out my correct address and I don't know why the wrong one showed up. They apologized and sent me the correct envelopes for free with 2 day shipping.  I suggest you try contacting them!
  • Oh No butterfly!  But I would def try to contact VP as other suggested.

I ordered RSVP postcards from Vista Print and somehow I ordered the X-Large post cards- No idea how because that is def not what I was trying to do.  But I called them and they sent me out the correct postcards that I wanted with free shipping as well :)
  • VP messed up one of my orders, too, and they re-did the whole thing for free, including shipping. Definitely go back and check your order history to see if you messed up or if they did. Otherwise, I'd just use some plain envelopes.

  • maybe it wasn't actually my fault then!!! I will have to go back and see...and give VP a call....thanks for the advice ladies!!!
  • Butterfly- Honestly it was my fault for the mistake i made on my RSVP postcards BUT I just told VP I was not happy with it and they sent me the new ones for free
  • colleen - that's so good to know!! i am really good at complaining/getting things re-done when I don't lik them so I think I will call them up here in a little bit to complain...thank you!
  • I did the same thing on VP but when I went back through, I really do think it was my mistake. I just typed our address on white mailing labels and put them over the mistake.

Well if VP seems to be good at fixing mistakes that's really good news! : Hopefully they'll take care of everything without giving you trouble..!!
  • I ordered business cards and accidently mixed up my telephone and fax number.  I caught it before it went to printing but they easily exchanged them and redid them, no questions asked really.  Try and call and see if you get anything, maybe it was their mistake.
