I bought mine last July, but ordering 128 months before your wedding is the norm so that the dress arrives in time for alteraions to be done aslo.

I purchased my dress in April.  I purchased a lace dress and when it came in it was snagged in a few places.  I had them re-order it.  So allow enough time for the unexpected to happen.

I assumed you should order iat least 8 months before the wedding. I was told my dress would take 7 months even though it came in 3. Though my dress was from the designer's new line and I am the size the samples come in, so that was why it came in so quick for me. My bridal salon told me I need to do fittings in January and February, so if yours is the same, you'd probably want it to be delivered by January at the latest.

I've heard 6-8 months is the norm. Really depends on the dress and the store. If it's something custom made, probably longer, but a simple dress from like DB might not take as long. I think the fittings are done at like 12, 6 and 2 weeks or something like that? I bought my dress off the rack (unused consignment dress) so I didn't have to worry about ordering it, but I'm worried about the alterations now since it will need to be taken in at least 2 sizes, I don't think there's a bustle, and I wanted to see if there's any way to make it a little poofier at the bottom. Hoping it doesn't cost me as much as my dress! Haha

  i like the dress very much ,    cheap but beautiful ,customer but no extra charges , i think i will buy dresses from it again.

Thanks for the help! I bought my dress in january 2012 and no longer fits and is beyond alterations... It would literally need to be cut and put back together due to unexpected weight loss and now I'm very nervous about when to order a new one

I ordered mine in early may they told me it would take 6 - 8 months to come in, so I thought I was only a few months early and it came in mid june soooo my mom is storing it for me ^-^ All the magazines, websites, blogs etc I've seen say 6 - 8 months before. Hope that helps

I ordered mine on July 5th and it came in on Saturday from Davids Bridal. They told me it would take until October and that I should have my alterations appointment in January.

I'd start trying some on real soon!! It's amazing how different you'll feel about a dress you loved when you try it on!!
