So I'm wondering since we are all March brides what you have in mind (or planned) for your wedding.
Our theme is a "Big Fat Irish Wedding" we will have a traditional Irish ceremony
Our wedding will be in Las Vegas on March 24, 2013. We are having the ceremony at a really pretty golf resort outside of town. It has magnificient views of the mountains and isn't really "Vegasy" at all. (Paiute Resort for those interested). We are having to do very little decorating since the venue is so beautiful to begin with which is good since its 2000 miles away!
We will then have our reception at Nine Fine Irishmen Pub at the New York New York Hotel. We just want to have fun and it was easy, they even have a live Irish band playing at night so we saved costs with DJ's and that sort of thing.
For our rehersal dinner/meet & greet we are having it at the Rainforest Cafe, there are quite a few kiddos in the group and I figure they will enjoy it and if they enjoy it then so will their parents! haha
After dinner we are going on a private Double Decker bus tour around Las Vegas. We will have an Elvis impersonator as our tour guide (fun!)
So here is what all I have accomplished so far:
Venue booked
Reception site booked
Rehersal dinner/meet & greet booked
Bus tour booked
pictures booked
dress picked out/deposit put down
jewelry ordered
shoes/shoe clips ordered
welcome bag ordered
some "goodies" for welcome bag ordered/received
Cake deposit paid
Still to do:
Grooms clothes
Honeymoon plans (can't get rates till May for March 13)
Flights
Rental car
Transportation for guests
Limo for photo tour
The rest of the welcome bags
Bridal party attire
Guests rooms to be booked
Invitations
Those are all the big ones I think. Of course there are a million little things to think of but I'll get to them.
I'd love to hear everyone else's plans, it is so fun to see how different weddings can be. I feel like I've accomplished so much already, but I guess I'm lucky - - I'm OCD when it comes to having things organized. I'll really start to fret when it comes down to the wire I'm sure.
So I'd love to hear everyone elses plans.
