Invites Mailed!!

Hi Everyone - 

I wanted to share my big CHECK off the list.  I mailed my invites this morning, what a relief.  Putting them together was so much more work than i expected.  I feel like i can focus on other things now.  

Now just waiting on responses to put together seating arrangements.

Right now i am working my my DIY cake topper made with Swaroski cystals.  I cant wait to finish it - its going to look so pretty.

What is everyone else working on this month?

Ohh, pretty cake topper!

We are going to finish and send out our invitations next week. I should just list out the things we need to do ASAP..

-Book the honeymoon. We decided we want to go to one of the Couples resorts in Jamaica. We found better prices online than the travel agent gave us so we're going to see if they do any sort of price matching. Either way, we need to get that booked!

-Suits. We have them pretty finalized but FI needs to actually get the guys together and order them.

-Hair and makeup. I was planning on using my photographer's sister as our hair and makeup stylist, but she hasn't gotten back to me. I'm going to start looking into more options in case she doesn't ever respond. I want to get prices and stuff soon.

-Shoes!!! I need these soon so I can go to the person doing my alterations and figure out how much my dress needs to be hemmed. She is already taking it in so that will hopefully be done when I go back to her.

-Details such as the guest book, cake topper, etc. I have ideas but we need to finalize these and start buying whatever we need.

-Get our officiant ordained. Our friend is doing the ceremony. FI has researched websites to do this and we are waiting a little bit before bringing it up with our friend. Another friend of ours passed away this week and our officiant was pretty close with her, so we wanted to give him some time before getting this done.

-Getting FI a passport, getting our marriage license and getting forms to change my name.

-Decide on and buy FI's wedding band. He has it narrowed down but hasn't had a chance to make a final decision.

-Programs. Need to figure out the ceremony first. My MOH offered to write it for us because I'm too overwhelmed and don't want to do it, haha.

-Decide on music for the ceremony and first dance song (and parent dances).

There's more of course but that's the main stuff. Ugh, is it over yet? Haha.

Congrats on mailing your invites! I finished assembling ours this weekend and my mom is dropping them off at the post office today. Ours actually took less time to put together than I anticipated, which was a nice relief. My mom, my maids, and I got a lot of wedding crafts done over the holidays. This week my bridesmaids have their second alterations appointment and my fiance and I are going to get our marriage license.

My invitations are out!!! Finally!!! Haha. SO excited to have that done after I went on a wild goose chase for stamps last night. The post office closes at the same time I get off of work. I went to the machine thing but they only print 5 at a time so I gave up after a while. Went to a grocery store, got the whole 44 stamps they had, went a couple other places, and finally got the rest at a grocery store another town over. Stayed up late finishing everything and FI dropped them off at the post office today. Yay! :-D

Yay can we say CHECK!!! feels good to check that off the llist.  Im a bit nervous waiting on responses because this will determine our final food cost..ahhh!!

Congrats! You are ahead of the curve. I just sent off for sample invites last week, I'm expecting them on Friday. I will then most likely place my order next week for the sample we decide on. I don't expect invites to be mailed until first week of February. Especially since I'm still gathering addresses from the Save the Dates...nice job!

Awesome!!! I just sent mine out too and boy was that a big relief!! Now for the finer details! Go March brides!!!!!!
