Hey Everyone! Im wondering if anyone can tell me what an online proofing gallery is that some photographers offer and what do you do with it?

It's an online gallery where your photographer posts your pictures.  You and your family/friends can go on and look at the pictures, often before you get the prints.  You can typically request a password if you want the photographs to be private.  In my case, people could purchase prints directly from the website (pictage.com).

ok so its where you can go to look at all your pictures and is that where you order them from?

It can be, your photographer should be able to tell you how they operate in terms of ordering prints.  Sometimes it's just for viewing, sometimes you can order right from the site.  For my photos, I also got them all on dvd so I can print them wherever, and whenever I want.
