Vegas question

DH and I have never been to Vegas, so we are going for our anniversary in June.  What should we do that is a must not miss?  Neither of us have been.  :)

    NYNY roller coaster is fun
Of course the fountains at Bellagio after dark. There's also a cool volcano at Mirage.
The Cirque du Solei shows out there are amazing too

    Where are you staying?

    Hi Jess!

I agree with the Water shows!  Also make a trip to downtown to see the light show (free) there.

I wish that I would have seen a few shows while I was there--Cirque, Blue Man Group, or a comedian. We never did venture too far from the strip, so I would have also liked to go to Fremont Street (which is downtown I think?).

Hey ladies!  I am so busy with school and work I hardly get on here anymore.  :)  I figured many of you have been so you would be great to ask.

We are staying at the Monte Carlo. :) SO EXCITED!

Ditto the water shows. I enjoyed walking the strip watching all the entertainment the last time I was there. Lions at the MGM grand were fun to watch, too.

    Enjoy!

    Jess,
I've never seen them in Vegas but I recently saw the Blue Man show in Orlando and it was so awesome!  I had never really cared to see them before but it was great.

Fremont Street, definitely Bellagio dinner buffet, and I highly suggest monorail passes. They save you feet big time! We walked so much the first day that my feet hurt the rest of the trip, really wished we would have known about them on day one.

Oh and if you want an excellent Prime rib dinner for less than $10 go to the Four Queens downtown off of Fremont Street. One of our fav dinners.

The ladies said everything I could think of other than going to the drive-through wedding chapel (It's so tempting :P)

If you want to get out of the city, Bryce and Zion Canyons are SPECTACULAR to hike in for a change of pace.

I saw Cirque (Mystere I think) second row center and I still can't forget it--definitely the best show ever.  We ate the Bellagio breakfast buffet and it was outstanding.  Be prepared to walk like the PP said--the resorts are huge.  It really is adult Disneyland!  I went 5 years ago but we didn't have a bad meal there--everything was delicious.

We are in the midst of planning our wedding ceremony there (and I've been a few times, though it's now been several years)... here are my quick notes:

-Absinthe is a new show out-front of Caesar's Palace - I think it sounds AWESOME (they are describing it as Cirque channeled through Rocky Horror...)  Thinking about getting us tix for this...
-Don't bother with the car show/museum at Imperial Palace - if you or FI are into cars, you will be disappointed.
-When walking - everything is further apart than it looks...seriously.
-Oh, and you can sign up for Groupon & Living Social deals for Vegas, too!

Looks like everyone has given you tons of good advice already!

As far as shows, the only one I've ever been to is the Cirque show Zumanity... it is at New York New York.    It was really entertaining, but VERY risque.

I haven't personally been but I've heard that Cirque "O" is amazing.  It's at the Bellagio.

Diana - My DH saw Absinthe on his bachelor party in Vegas (one of the first shows of it) and he LOVED it.  Highly recommended!

Go to a hypnotist show! They are hilarious! I think theres one out there on the web that gives you free tickets (if you go before 4pm..). Go to www.smartervegas.com or www.vegas.com. Thats where I have found all the great deals!! (from when I went 2 years ago... plus my wedding is there in July!)
