Has anyone used Bella Pictures as their photographer? I was hoping to use Scoobie but he is already booked. Any suggestions on photographers...

    You may want to try your local board for suggestions even though Bella is national.

    I would avoid Bella. They are a nationwide "umbrella" company and you do not get to select or even meet your photographer before your actual wedding day. Search these forums (and others) and you will find hundreds of disappointed brides that used their services and regret it. 

    Try posting in your local board and you might get more suggestions. Also it is helpful if you include a rough budget and what you are wanting in a photographer (number of hours, prints, disc, albums, e-sesh, etc.)

    I wouldn't suggest Bella...too much of a big company/not personal enough.

    Bella has A LOT of bad reviews on Wedding Wire. Definitely check locally. Sit down with your photographer not a company rep that is paid to sell you on a package. Get a feel for the photographer that will spend a good portion of your special day in close proximity.

    Stay away from Bella and other huge companies like that. There are SO many bad reviews!

    stay away from Bella...look for a local photographer or one that you love from another area that you can fly in...that is what i am doing. i sent you a pm.

    Ooooo I would be careful with conglomerate photographer companies.  You are just another name and number to them.  The photographer you meet or even have at your portrait session isn't guaranteed for your wedding.  I have heard some really bad things.  I would suggest searching weddingwire.com for photographers in your area and start meeting them.  There are just too many great photographers out there to risk it.
