wedding photo album

Hi girls!  I'm looking for a website where I can design and order a photo album.  I tried shutterfly and mycanvas but was not satisfied with the results.  I'm lookin for something a little higher end but I also don't want to break the bank.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

I did a high-end album using somersetalbums.com.  I have a review with pics in my bio.  It was thrilled with how it came out.

You might want to check out www.Berryphotos.com. They make custom wedding albums which are printed in Italy.  We our done as part of our photography package, but I recently had them design one of our family portrait session and it was $750 for 40 pages.

I was going to search for the exact same thing! For some reason I dont always trust just Googling things like this.  We were going to pay close to $1100 for our album and my fiance had a heart attack. Stephiehall, if you dont mind me asking, around how much did you pay?

You might also try adoramapix.com.  They have lay-flat pages that are real photo paper.  The quality is so much better than the shutterfly, mypublisher etc versions, but it won't break the bank.  A 10x10 76 page album will run you about $140.

    Take a look at WeDesignAlbums.com.

Just upload your images to them, they design, print and bind it for you.  They offer several options for covers.

Our photographer shot over 1100 pix of our wedding.  We now have to select 75 for our 30 page album and are having a terrible time making the selection.  (The album is part of our package.  We are not  making our own on a separate website.)  I have seen suggestions that one should divide the day into categories, which we did.  Our categories are:
        1. Prep (dress, make-up, etc.)
        2.  Ceremony
        3. Formal photo shoot (We had a very small wedding party - just a MOH & BM)
        4. Cocktail & Dinner
        5. Dance (European format reception - Dinner after not during dinner)

So approximately 15 in each category.  We wound up with many more for the ceremony and fewer from the formal photo shoot.  I am wondering about what kind of photos should be in the cocktail/Dinner and Dance sections.  We included photos of key events - our entrance, our priest saying grace, BM, MOH and my escort (my dad is deceased giving toasts, in the dinner section.  In the dance we had our first dance, me dancing with my escort, the groom with his mother, and cake cutting.  I also included a number of random shots of our guests, some with us and some just guests.  As I looked at other couples' albums, it seems that no one includes these random shots of guests.  We do own the dvds with full rights to print photos that are not in the album provided by the photog.

What do you think of this approach?  Should we eliminate the shots of guests and add more from the formal shoot?

Would any of you be willing to share your album?  Does anyone have any suggestions of where I can see completed albums?

    TIA,
    Kisa
