Re: Deleted

  • Yes, I did it... and I'm so glad we did!
  • We weren't originally, but we got a great deal and the highlight video has ended up being one of my favorite things from our wedding.  Every time someone posts a link to their highlight, I have to go back and watch ours.

Also, my grandparents were unable to attend our wedding, so it was great to have a video to give them!

We used JChristopher Films.  I'm not sure about their prices, because I know they have gone up since I used them, but I know they are still a GREAT deal compared to a lot of other videographers.

  • I hired my videographer two weeks prior to my wedding. I used Wiley video and it was worth it!

I did not have a videographer and it is one of my few regrets.  I am very sorry we did not hire one.  Would I have watched my video hundreds of times?  No, probably not.  But knowing I can NEVER see my ceremony again even once is painful.

My DH's grandmother turned 100 right befor our wedding.  Also, my wedding day is the last memory I have of my grandmother really being herself--shortly after, she started to decline.  I would have loved to have had our memories of them captured.
  • We've booked JChristopher Films as well. You can find pricing on their website or shoot them over an email. They are super nice!
  • We didn't have a videographer for our wedding.  It would have been great if we could have squeezed it into our budget, but ultimately we had to choose a great photographer or a decent photographer + video.  We chose great photography.  We don't regret not having a video, but again, it would have been nice to have.

  • Haven't gotten married yet but the brides that I talk to all say that getting a videographer was worth it since you can't be everywhere and miss moments.  You may find someone cheap who is a student.  I had met someone at a bridal show but I can't remember his name.  I got a deal with georgestreet photography
  • Originally we did not budget for a videographer. But  as I got more involved with these boards and saw all the great video I didn't wan't to have any regrets. We managed to fit it into our budget. We decided to go with 2ME Productions. http://www.2meproductions.com/

  • It would have been nice to have, but the numbers just didn't work out for us. We opted to spend a little more on photography and get exactly who we wanted.

I used Wylie Video and am so glad to have the video. I don't remember much of my ceremony - I was so nervous being up there in front of everyone.

And it was just really fun to watch the day all over again -- especially all our friends dancing! Our video is hilarious.
  • My fiance and I decided from the beginning that we would splurge on photography.  We're all about pictures, and didn't care for videos at all, must less even think about it.

Enter my sister's wedding and her videographer JChristopher films.  I absolutely adored her highlight video and the videographers.  Seeing her highlight completely changed my mind, and now I can understand why many brides regret not having video of their special day.

JChristopher films is awesome and very affordable.  Unfortunately, they were already booked on my day and so I had to find someone else.  I didn't have a budget for videos either, but I worked around it b/c I knew I would regret it in the end if I didn't have it.
  • I am in the very SAME bind ekparisi. Getting married in October - 2 months. I have repeatedly heard from former brides it's the ONE thing that they regret not doing. Anyone know of any college students?!
  • We also decided to spend our money on great photographers, and skip the video, as very few videos I saw made me want one.

Until one day, a former Knottie posted her highlight, and from then on, I didn't care what it took, we were going to have one.  Best. Money. We. Spent!!!
  • My fiance and I had not originally intended on booking a videographer, we saw a relative's video and loved it. We looked with iDo! Cinematics (http://www.idocinematics.com/). It's a relatively new company, so they don't have many videos posted to their website yet. I did a lot of research and found their prices exceptional for the value. We are really looking forward to the video turnout of our upcoming January wedding. We spoke with Matt and he was very helpful and can provide additional information if you email him from the website.
