is it enough time?

I am looking at a videographer for our wedding- which has a fairly decent price for 6 hrs.  the wedding starts at 1 he will probably end up coming at 12 to get the guess coming in, etc... The reception starts at 4.  I am nervous that he wont catch the first dance, etc... if he gets there at 12 will I be on if hes dont at 6?

Did you set up your timeline for the reception yet? You can always have your dances and cake cutting after introductions and before dinner. Also ask your vendor if dinner hour counts towards your total time limit? Since he'll be eating during that time and not taping, he can use that hour to catch more of the action times during the reception. HTH

First you must consider that if your photographer is there during diner, you will lose a lot of his valuable time. Ask yourself: is it worth it to have photo of the bouquet toss, the first dance and cake cutting done PROFESSIONALLY?

A pro will get these shot, and will do a better job than most of your guest (that would be thrilled if they know you are using their picture for your album), but then again... its for the album and will never be enlarge...

Have your photographer finish when diner is served (nobody wants picture of them eating anyway) and save the precious time for creative and romantic preparation time.

Here is an idea: ...if the photographer is female.. ask her to do a sexy pinup boudoir session just before you actually put the dress on....
