Props for pictures?

I've seen some wedding pictures with people using props. Just wondering if anyone else is planning on doing the same and what ideas you ahve come up with. Thanks!

I tend towards the genuine.  Props in pictures seem contrived to me and I'm afraid they'll look cheesey someday years in the future. What kinds of props have you seen or did you have in mind?

Colorful umbrellas can add a real pop of color, and are great in case it rains ;) Also, while it's not a prop, it's a smart idea to get a cheap piece of cloth (usually muslin) at your fabric store that is similar to the color of your dress.  That way if you have to sit on anything, you put that down first and don't get your dress dirty in the process.

Our photographer suggested a mirror, so we found this great old full length mirror on a stand that we're going to use. I've also been thinking about a prop for the picture of our rings. I've seen some really cute photos out there of the rings and I'm trying to come up with a prop that'll fit the theme of our reception (reception at the museum of transportation, so going with the trains and antique cars theme).

For our engagement pictures we used balloons that were our wedding colors... It was my photographers idea (Hilton PIttman Photography, NC) and it turned out amazing!
