Save the date picture ideas

We are getting married December 8th, 2012. We are planning to send out save the dates soon and I'm trying to think off some fun props for the pictures on the save the dates. We really want to have photos taken on campus of the college we both graduated from last year. The school colors are purple and gold and the mascot is the pirates. We want to incorporate these things somehow in the photos because we are even having our reception at a banquet hall on campus overlooking the football field. Any ideas would be appreciated!

You could dress up as pirates and have a sword fight? It doesn't need to be all out pirate costume either. 

Have balloons with your wedding date on them with the school colors. 

Be like kids you see in the movies. He can help you carry your books all bound up in a book strap. So vintage/ old school university kind of feel.

<div>I think this would be super cute.  Is there any special landmark at your school?  My school had this old bell where we always took pictures and people associate with the school.</div>

I would search on Pinterest "Save the date pictures" they have all kinds of creative amazing photo ideas.
