Engagement photos - what would go well with our skin tones and complement each other at the same tim

We are having our Engagement Session this Saturday, and my photographer suggested that we wear brighter colors rather than grey, white or black. My future husband has very light blue eyes and I have green eyes, and we are both on the paler side. What colors do you suggest we wear that would complement each other, but not match each other? If you could give links as a suggestion, that would be great! THANK YOU!

Great question.  Biggest thing about pictures is wear what you are comfortable in.  Color shouldn't matter as much as how you feel in the clothes you wear.  Matching though.. i.e.  two white shirts, etc.. looks awful!  The matching game for photography has been over since the late 80's.  I also wouldn't recommend Red if you're pale and depending on where your shoot is, it can look a different color if the photographer doesn't have the exposure set correctly.  Good luck.. not sure I gave you a color answer but just some things to keep in mind:)

Wear what YOU think you look good in -- I'm going to assume here that both of you would probably look GREAT (and bring out your eyes) in blue's or green's that are jewled tone.

Thank you both!  It was delayed due to rain, but we have picked out what we are going to wear.  I appreciate the advice!!
