I wanted to share my experience regarding my vendor, Marco Photography, with you. The reason we chose them is because they are the recommended photographer of Flowerfields and I assumed that Flowerfields had a certain standard regarding their vendors. Here is my experience:
The photographer is nothing more than a point-n-shoot photographer. He knew 4 poses: Look at the camera, look at each other, kiss, walk away. We have the same 4 shots over and over. He lacks creativity and did not utilize the beautiful grounds that Flowerfields has to offer to its fullest. All of my family shots were taken inside on the most beautiful July morning in an area of the reception hall that was lacking the character and beauty the place has to offer. I only had one flower-girl and one ring bearer. I have no formal pictures with either. I have no pictures of me and my only brother. I have no pictures of my mother and her husband. Basically, I have one shot of my family and that is it for the day. When my family approached the photographer regarding family shots, they were turned away. I was not made aware of this until days later.
The company took a year and a half to deliver my wedding album. I had to call on many occasions and was always directed to one of the girls on the phone. They were all very nice but I never received a return call from Marco himself after leaving several messages. When picking up my final album, I was missing mini-books that were part of my contract and again was given the run around.
The showroom has the most beautiful pictures and I received none of them. In my mind, it is false advertising. You have very little say in your album and they have the nerve to charge you extra if you don't like what they design for you. It saddens me that you have to pay this vendor in full before the product is delivered. In my mind, they are a sub-par company who charges a lot of money for a product they cannot produce. I was only allowed 30 or so pictures in my wedding album and had no problem choosing them out of over 750 pictures. I should have had a very difficult time choosing them because their should have been a lot more photos that I loved!
