Video Question

Any brides out there not get video of your wedding and wish you did?  Or you think its something to bypass?  Any preference on professional or just setting up a camcorder in the back of the room?  Just trying to get some insight on if we should get a videographer or not.  Thanks!

I've seen a lot of brides post that they were really glad they got video. They say the day goes by so fast, it's nice to have live memories of it. Video catches all the in between things you don't get in pictures. And about pro or non-pro videos, I've read tons about how DIY video is NOT a good idea unless you leave it in the hands of someone who knows what they're doing. And it makes sense. Otherwise you get  stuff like shaky hands, bad lighting, ppl walking across, or who knows what else. I'm considering video myself and going pro. If I had any camera expert friends, I would consider having them help out. The only thing I think DIY video would be good for is getting tapings of friend and fam messages. Otherwise I think leaving it up to a newbie to cover a whole wedding could only get you something you didn't want and can no longer get back.
