what to wear for e-pics at lake

I know it is time to turn to the knotties for some help here!  We are taking e-pics a week from today.  We are doing it outdoors.  Most likely will be going to the local state park (a big lake) where we spend a lot of time.  I think we will do some fishing pictures (since my fiancee and I spends lots of time fishing together) along with some traditional enagagement photos.

What I need your help with is what to wear?  I would like casual but cute/flirty for me.  I was thinking a new pair of cropped jeans with a cute feminine top.  For my FI - I am not sure - shorts or jeans?  Sandals okay for him?  I need ideas and help ladies - please feel free to express what may look good given our setting.  I am looking for help on possible colors - I do no't want to be all matchy-matchy but coordinated would be good.  Help me out girls!

what does he normally wear? I would put him in something that makes him comfortable! we are doing our shoot next weekend too and were actually discussing it today. I think He will wear jeans and a button down, we will have and extra outfit on hand just incase we decide to change too! we will have maybe a polo, and kakis or even a t-shirt and jeans... we will have options!

for me. I am thinking skinny jeans and a flirty top with flat sandals and a flirty dress with cowboy boots. (we  are doing out shoot in Jackson with the Tetons as some of the background.

    hope this helps!

I think the big thing is dress like yourself! and make sure he does too! you don't want to be uncomfortable or feel like you are in costume.

i love simple white dresses, i couldn't find one that looked right for our engagement session so i wore a purple halter dress because i have always liked purple against my skin tone, and a jacket to cover my arms. my fiancee wore a white button up shirt and nice jeans and leather dress shoes. We did the Denver Botanic Gardens..

I would pick a color that you feel beautiful in and have him do something that he feels confident in too. I think i would try to have him do a nice sneaker if you are trying to keep it more casual, sandals are a hard call because you want his toes to look nice in them. maybe try to get him to go get a pedicure before the pictures if he is insistent on wearing sandals and then keep a non sandal shoe with you so you can get pictures in both.

    hope that helps.

btw who are you using for a photographer?
