Limo/Party Bus

Can't sleep..argh so I figured I ask the knotties if they have any recommendations on who I can use that would rent a limo/party bus.  I called around a few places and the hummer limo or limo bus hold about 20 people which is what we need but I do not know who to go with?

Also charter buses?

Thanks

    Go with the cheapest?

As far as charter busses, call Ridecentric, and ask for Jillian.

I honestly don't think it matters,  Several Knotties have done this for their guests and several of them had miserable experiences (and some not even showing up after taking the deposit).

Once you narrow it down, call the BBB and see if they have anything negative turned in on your choices.
  • We're using Celebrity Limos... They are pretty reasonable and very reliable.  My FI used them once before for our date night so we decided to use them again.

When I was researching them, I heard that some of the places that are cheaper might skimp on insurance and/or maintenance on the buses. But IDK any of that for sure or anything, that just made me a little nervous.

I used Silver West for several things the week of my wedding (I got a rec from a wedding planner). They sent a sedan to the airport to pick up/drop off relatives; I had a shuttle bus take me, bridal party, and guests to/from the RD and the wedding. They were a little more expensive, but their cost included all taxes/gratuity/etc -- no extra charges at all. (Some will quote a cheaper rate, but then you have extra charges at the end.)

    silverwestlimo.com<strong><span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:115%;font-family:'Times New Roman','serif';background:none repeat scroll 0% 0% yellow;"><a href="http://www.silverwestlimo.com/index.html" rel="nofollow"></a></span></strong> (I think I got a shuttle bus that held 24? Or maybe 36, I don't recall.)

Plus, I'd heard a few horror stories of companies that didn't show up or showed up late. Silver West was early and the driver (the same one each time, which was a nice touch) helped me keep everything on schedule. Oh, and when we asked him to stay late to take people to/from a bar for an after party, the driver agreed to do it and bill us later. I thought that was awesome; he'd already put in a long day and didn't have to do that (especially on just a promise of future payment).

While it wasn't here (it was in NYC), Bill hired a great car service for my MOH and I when we went to NYC for Christmas in 2010.  They sent the same driver both times as well and we both really liked that.  To me, if you're hiring a company for multiple pickups and drop offs, that is pretty impressive to me.
  • Thanks ladies..I'll call and research.  I have been on yelp and people were posting horror stories about some companies that is why I asked for help!
