Photos - Opinions needed. (long)

Okay, so I already B&M'd about my photo situation.  I'm working on a letter to my photographer, and I'd like your opinions, because let's face it, you ARE the wedding authority :)  Also, sorry for being a post-whore today - but I really need you ladies now!

(Not sure if it matters, but I paid $1,800 for e-pics and the wedding day, plus travel, and that is supposed to include a $450 print credit towards albums.  That's not that much in DFW terms, but she's from a small town, and I got married in a small town, so that makes a bit of a difference money-wise.  Just throwing that tidbit in there.)

So here's my letter so far.  There are a few blanks, because I don't know what exactly to put there.

I am very dissatisfied with the coloring in the photos, and I am sure that there is something can be done to correct this situation.  I feel like after waiting five weeks for my photos, they should have been perfect... Photography was the most important element of my wedding, because after that day, the photos are what you have to remember the day by.  Instead, all the time and effort (not to mention money) that went into planning a cohesive theme for my wedding feels wasted, because the photos of my wedding day look nothing like I had planned.
I've talked to a few people who have told me that the color can be corrected in Photoshop, but it's a fairly labor-intensive and costly process because it has to be done photo by photo.  If this is not something that you are capable of doing, I feel that you should outsource it to someone who can, and the cost of this process should be your responsibility.  As a compromise, I am willing to go through and pick out my favorites to be corrected, rather than correcting all the images, as I know that would be extremely expensive.
Also, I would like to have the photos corrected in a timely manner, so that I can have albums, etc. made.  I feel that _________ is a reasonable date to have this accomplished.
If you cannot or will not outsource the corrections by the date above, then I would like a refund of _______ so that I may take the photos to someone who can correct them for me.  This amount represents ___________.
I have really enjoyed working with you, and I feel that your work overall - including my wedding photos - is really great, with the exception of this color issue.  I'm sure that we can work this out so that when I look back on my wedding day, I remember it exactly how it was - just perfect.

I think it's a good letter. It's to the point and very direct. I would say give her a couple weeks to find alternatives and get back with you. If she outsources it then it's up to them to give you a timeline on how long it will take them. I would ask for the price of the print credit back. Since the pictures weren't acceptable enough currently to even use the credit. The cost of the outsourcing you may want to find out and add in there.

I am writing you in regards to my wedding photography. I am very dissatisfied with the coloring in the photographs and I am sure that there is something can be done to rectify this situation.

I have been patiently waiting for five weeks for my finalized photographs; I was under the impression that during this time you would be editing the photo's, however upon my receipt of the "finalized product" the coloring was completely amature, to say the least.

Photography was the most important element of my wedding and I felt confident in your ability to produce a good product, however after all of the time researching for a photographer and all of the money spent thus far, I have been extremely let down in the fact that all of my photographs look so horribly discolored.

I have spoken to other individuals, who have assured me that the color imperfections can be corrected in Photoshop. I understand that Photoshopping each photo will be fairly labor-intensive and could be costly for you. If this is not something that you are willing or capable of doing, than I feel it would only be fair for you to pay all expenses associated with outsourcing it to another individual who can.

As a compromise, I am willing to go through and pick out my favorites to be corrected, rather than correcting all the images, as I know that would be extremely expensive.
I would expect that the chosen photos be corrected in a timely fashion, seeing as how I have already waited five weeks. Therefore, please have the attached photographs corrected and produced to me by ___________. If you chose not to do the Photoshopping yourself, I ask that you advise me by no later than Friday morning.

If the above two options cannot be met, than I expect a refund in the amount of $_________.

I have really enjoyed working with you, and I feel that your work, overall (including my wedding photos), is really great, with the exception of this color issue.  I'm sure that we can work this out so that when I look back on my wedding day, I remember it exactly how it was - just perfect.

I think this is very clear, reasonable, and professional.  You may want to wait to specify an amount for the refund until you've had a chance to get some estimates about the costs.  So that you don't have to wait, you could send the email and just tell her that you need to research the costs before you specify the amount for the refund.
