How much are you tipping your photographer - a flat amount or a percentage of the cost? Also, are you going to tip the day of the wedding or wait until you get your proofs and tip based on how good the photos turn out?
We fell in love with a certain photographer's work, but she moved out of state between the time we met her and the time we finalized our date. She agreed to come back (to her hometown) to shoot our wedding, and even knocked 20% off her usual price because it was giving her an opportunity to see her family again and she wouldn't need a hotel or anything. She also owns the business, but I do not believe in not tipping the owner. She is providing the service, so she deserves the tip.
Just curious as to what the going rate for photog tipping is. Thanks!
