Engagement photo session - do we tip??

I'm scheduling a session for our engagement photos in the next week or so and this is already going to run me about $200.  I know it's expected to tip wedding vendors (photographers, DJ's, etc.) but are we expected to tip the photographer for the engagement session as well?  I am not sure yet if we will be booking this photographer for the wedding.  I do really like him, but I'm using the engagement session as a trial run before I decide because he is a little more expensive than I wanted.  If I am supposed to tip, how much? Thanks

I don't think you need to tip, especially if this person is the "owner" of the business. If you do end up booking them and you really want to tip them, you can always add a little more to the balance due at the wedding.

No you don't tip. Anything you need should be included in your package, so gratuity is not needed, unless at the end you would like to give them a bonus.
