E-pics...how many to order?

So I'm thinking about going with a 'friend' photographer.  He's going to give us a deal, and waive the session fees and all that.  And he said he'll give us a deal when we order pics from him also.  He wants to know how many we're looking to order or if we're looking at a package or what not...

I have NO idea how many engagement pics I'll want to/need to order.  Any help?  How many photos have you ordered?

Our e-pic session was included with our wedding package and included 40 shots. From those 40 shots we ordered (6) 8x10's of 3 specific shots we liked. It's really hard to say before seeing the photos how many you will like enough to want to print. If you intend to give any to family (parents, grandparents, siblings) you can get a general idea of how many photos you could possibly want. I would not commit to a HUGE package for e-pics, I'd try and stick with single "ala carte" print pricing.

one thing i would remember, is that although epics are really nice, you will be taking wedding photos only a short time after. so don't freak out and feel like you need to get a hundred copies of your epics. spend the money on getting your wedding photos

for mine, we're buying the digital rights to 2 photos, and then about 5 5x7 prints of other ones we like. but there is 1 picture we want a bunch of prints of and we're leaving it at that
