Fort Worth Chapels/Churches

Hi everyone!  I got engaged just before Christmas and am now on the hunt for a ceremony and reception venue!  We want to get married in late May or the month of June, so the timeline is a little crunched.  I really want to get married in a church/chapel, but my own church is out in Dallas and we really want to plan the wedding in Fort Worth.  Aside from the Marty Leonard chapel (they're already booked, argh!), does anyone have any recommendations for churches or chapels within a reasonable distance from downtown Fort Worth that I can check out for the ceremony site?

Thanks!

Not sure where these are in relation to downtown.

    Rose Chapel
    Belltower Wedding Chapel
    Green Oaks Wedding Chapel (Arlington)
    Robert Carr Chapel at TCU
    Northeast wedding chapel (Hurst)

That's too bad about Marty Leonard, that is everyone's favorite here.  If you have a church home, you might want to reconsider--your home church will save you money and June is a popular month as I am sure you are well aware.
  • I agree with Stephie.  A lot of churches either won't marry nonmembers or charge extra.

You can check out rentmychurch.com to find churches in the area that will allow nonmembers to get married.

  • Im getting married at Belltower in June, but when i booked my date last summer they were already filling up. I agree with the other ladies that it would probably be best to use your church.

  • I would recommend looking at those places and inquiring on whether or not they are booked yet. I booked Belltower less than 3 months before the wedding, but mine is at noon. I didn't need a night wedding and I really liked the venue, so we went ahead and did that.
