Engagement outfits

So for one of our outfits I am wearing a deep purple tank with a white cardigan over the top. Then dark jeans and heels. I just wanted some ideas on what color shirt he should wear. Thanks!

    Maybe a blue button down might look nice as blue is a good complement to purple?

    I second the blue.  A lot of the engagement sessions I shoot (I'm a photographer) the guys wear plaid (since that is so "in" right now) or checkered shirt.  I think the texture looks really nice.  And since it's a cold out a cool jacket would look nice. Just an idea...

    I think if he wore a white shirt it would look cohesive...not matchy matchy since your purple tank would be a pop of color.

    If you aren't afraid of color, yellow is a complimentary color to purple.   You can also play around with complimentary colors here....http://colorschemedesigner.com/. You can choose the purple of your shirt, and see what happens.
