has anyone cancelled photographer?

i want to move our wedding up & photographer isnt available that day, so im considering cancelling with her...its 8 months notice, do you think she will give me my deposit?

    No, you will not get your deposit back. Deposits are the photographer's protection against EXACTLY this kind of thing. Sorry, but that's the way it is. You can always ask, maybe she will be really nice about it and give it back to you.

    Your photographer should have information about whether or not the deposit is refundable on your contract or on her website, as cancellation policies do vary from photographer to photographer (ie. some will return the deposit if you cancel more than six months out, etc.)
