Engagaement photo ideas

So...my fiance and I are trying to think of some creative ideas for our engagement photos. Right now we are thinking of doing some photos in our backyard with our dog, then going to the library, and a playground. I just really want something different that not everyone does. Ideas?

I would think of places or things that mean a lot to you. A friend who recently got married and her H both teach English and love books, so a lot of their e-pics were done in a library. Another couple who love baseball got theirs done at a baseball stadium (not a professional one, just a local one). Another couple who grew up in Chicago but now live elsewhere got theirs done at popular locations around the city.

Having said that, we just went to an area in our city that was pretty and had the vibe we wanted (we mixed some pictures by the river with others in front of industrial buildings because we like that look). I wouldn't overthink it. If you have a hobby you both do or a place you visit together a lot, then maybe do something with that.
