Pre-wedding Parties

I know this is a strange question.

Please just let me get your opinions.

Ok. I'm the MOH in my friend's wedding, and I'm planning her bachelorette party. I loved planning parties so this is right up my alley.

She wants the typical bachelorette stuff, pink sash, pink tiara, dance on table fun, you know what every girl getting married wants..

Here's the problem. She wants all of this penis stuff. Penis pops, penis cake, penis straws, penis..penis..penis. I get it, she likes the dark chocolate penis. However, I don't go to sex shops, and don't care to buy these things online.

She doesn't have any other ladies in her wedding party, and no sisters so it's just me.

Plus, it doesn' t help that I hate the way penises look, and have no desire to find all of these penis things. That's an entirely different story.

Any ideas what I should do? I haven't told her how I feel, but she knows about me being conservative.

Well as we always have to tell brides on here, they don't get to plan their b-parties, and this is no different. She can make suggestions about what she does and doesn't want to do, but ultimately it's up to the host/s to make the final decisions. If you don't like it and don't want to spend your money on it, don't include it. I highly doubt she'll consider her party ruined because it wasn't adorned with penises.

Do you have a bet on the WWs board about how many times you can fit the word penis into a thread?  Nice try.

You could try a store like spencers, they tend to carry stuff like that for b-parties

i bet there are a bunch of people that will disagree with me on this, but i say do it!  do it for her - i presume she's pretty important to you. i know some people on these board's tend to be tough on the bride - it's not all about her, she doesn't get to plan the b-party but as her friend and MOH, don't you want to give her what she wants?  i'm in my friend's upcoming wedding and i would do just about anything to make sure this whole process is fun and amazing for her!  even if it means getting some penis shaped party favours!  but that's just my two cents...

It's just one party for one night, I say just do it. It is true that the bride doesn't get to plan her own bachelorette party, but if she has a couple requests-honor them.

I think compromising would do some good here. Chances are, she doesn't need ALL the penis goodies.

jaytee and ssaltz:  the OP was someone from WW who was trying to pull a l'il joke on the board.  She had done the same thing with an outrageous post on the m&m board earlier the same day.  This was MUD.
