Welcome to the Pre-Wedding Parties Board!
This is the board to ask any questions that may be related to the planning/process/or etiquette of the following pre-wedding parties:
~Engagement Parties
~Bridal Party Get-Togethers
~Bridal Showers
~Wedding or Couples Showers
~Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties
~Stag/Stagette Parties
~Jack & Jill Parties
~Rehearsal Dinner
All of these with the exception of the Rehearsal Dinner should be hosted on the bride and groom's behalf, but keep in mind that none of these parties are mandatory.
Also, some of these parties are regional. Not everyone has heard of having an Engagement Party, BP Get-Togethers, or a Jack & Jill. Please be mindful of other posters when they're asking about parties you may not be familiar with and remember that it may be a party that is typically thrown in their social circle.
Just keep in mind that none of these pre-wedding parties will make you any more or any less married, and when they're thrown for you it's so nice to sit back and enjoy what your family and friends have done to help celebrate your upcoming marriage.
