Kitchen themed bridal shower

anybody have a cooking/ kitchen bridal shower? What games did you play? Also what should we use for centerpieces and decorations?

Where I am from we don't have bridal showers we have kitchen teas.
My kitchen tea is this coming saturday and I know my moh has planned to use cups and saucers (china patterned ones) filled with flowers as centrepieces.

We normally play games like the clothespin game.

My Mom and sister are planning my bridal shower. They're using a "Pantry Party" theme. The idea is for guests to bring things that we may need in our pantry. Recipes are also encouraged. One party my Mom went to a woman brought her family's recipe for a cake and supplied all the necessary ingredients in a decorated basket!

My mom and godmother are throwing me a Julia Child themed party. One game she has will have fresh herbs cut from her garden that people have to identify from sight alone. She's going to demonstrate how to cook one of the dishes. Some of the prizes are an apron, a meat tenderizer(she uses one in cooking the dish), and the potted herbs on the table. Her favors are small glass jars filled with rosemary salt she's making herself. I believe her centerpieces are going pots of herbs and bottles of French wine.

My favorite is when guests are encouraged to bring a recipe for a  happy marriage, a favorite recipe, and if they want, a small utensil or tool to make that recipe (ie. quiche dish, vegetable scraper).
Both sets of recipes will be put into a scrapbook for the couple's future.
