bridal pic question (not location!)

hey ladies!! i was wondering how many of you did your bridal pics in an outdoor setting? Did it do any damage to your dress or make it dirty? I am a little concerned because the train of my dress is 10 ft. I didn't know if I should start planning for indoor areas because of the length or if outdoor really isnt as bad as I am imagining it!!

TIA :)

I did a couple shots outdoors. It didn't ruin mine (I also have a very long train). Just make sure there is someone there to help you pick up your dress and bring a white sheet to set on the ground where you will be standing. Then you just tuck the excess sheet under the dress and no one knows that you weren't actually standing on grass/dirt. Also, I would recommend wearing sturdy (different) shoes so that you don't get your wedding shoes dirty by accident. They won't be seen if you are standing anyhow. HTH!

I did several shots outside.  I did not use a sheet but lifted my train while walking to and from where I was going and my photographer set it down around me where we were going to take photos.  Mine did not get dirty at all!!  I just had it pressed again before the wedding, but did not need it cleaned.  I've heard the white sheet trick as well but it was not necessary for me :)

I have heard that a lot of girls are doing bridals after the wedding is over so you don't run into these issues.  Knowing how accident prone I am, this is what I will be doing :P

My photographer recommends the white sheet & dress wrangler/helper as well.
