    No dates for single women.
You can choose to invite the long-term boyfriends as the significant other to the person in the WP.
And of course you invite the readers to the RD - anyone who is involved in the rehearsal comes to the rehearsal dinner.

Anyone that needs to be at the rehearsal should be invited with his/her SO to the RD.  That includes the BP, immediate family, readers, and anyone you're not paying that needs to rehearse (such as a friend who may be singing).

You don't need to extend the option of a random date to the RD just as you don't necessarily need to do so for the wedding.  Howver if you extended the option of this for the wedding and you have a friend traveling with a date, the date should be welcome at the RD as well.

Most likely, someone who is not dating anyone will not go out and seek a date for the rehearsal dinner. That date will be bored. We had 15 WP members. We said that they each could bring a date. In the end, only 6 of them ended up bringing a date. Our single bridesmaids and groomsmen told us right away that they wouldn't be bringing anyone. That being said, it probabaly wouldn't hurt giving the group an invitation to bring a date, because in the end they most likely won't.

Oh, and we had our readers as well. They really had a great time, and they were my close aunt and cousin. Worked out great! And p.s., a great gift for readers is a product by Philosophy. It is a gift box that has "Gratitude" shampoo in it, costs only $16!
