Pre-wedding Parties

Can I suggest the menu for my own shower?

So my bridesmaids are throwing me a shower at a local restaurant. Would it be rude of me to tell them the things that I definatley want from the menu? I mean it is my shower so I should at least have the things there that I want for sure, then they can pick around those? I don't want to come across as bossy, buuut it is my shower....

If your friends know you they will know what to order or will ask you. I threw a girls night party at my house and my bridal party and girlfriends wanted to talk about ideas. So they asked if I had any. At that point I only mentioned I was desiring my friends jack daniels meatballs and maybe we could do an ice cream social. They will figure it out they are smart girls. Unless they ask for your opinion I wouldn't say anything.

IF they ask you about the food you like that's great.

But if they don't then don't bring it up.  It's not gracious to tell people HOW to throw a party for you.

If they ask for your opinion it is completely acceptable to let them know how you feel.  Otherwise, be grateful for everything they are doing and trust that they know you well enough to include things you like.
