We went to a "vendor fair" of sorts at my venue last night. It was mostly a sales pitch for a DJ and how he can personalize the reception for you and how it will all flow. It was great going and getting FI to see all that because he was still just wanting to go the iPod route. So, I think I have him sold on a DJ now. We just need to find the money for him! LOL
BUT, the most exciting part is they had several other vendors there. One was a florist out of McKinney (I live in Allen, so it is great) whom I had not heard of before. Let me tell you, this lady knew her stuff!! I told her my dilemma of working with chocolate brown and how it is hard to find flowers and she started naming off stuff, and her and I really clicked. The most impressive thing was that she had this huge photo album of all kinds of displays and bouquets she has done. She knew where pretty much every picture was in there, which ones had what flowers in them and had them sorted pretty much by color. She kept flipping through that book and saying "Oh, we could use this" flip flip flip "or this"... etc. Another bride came up with different colors and she was working us both with flipping that book! Both Adam and I walked away really impressed. So, imagine my happiness when she emailed me this morning and said I won the bouquet!!! Not only that, if I book with her from meeting her at that show I get 10% off my order.
Now, there weren't that many brides there last night (maybe a dozen? 20 at the most) so she could have given us all bouquets, who knows. But, she totally won in my book!
