Bridal Shower question from a MOH

I am starting to plan my bff's wedding shower. I trying to decide on colors and a theme right now.

Would it be appropriate to use the same colors she's using in the wedding so everything stays consistant? What would you want as the bride for your shower?

I just don't want her to think that I'm stealing her wedding colors thunder, you know? Also, we are keeping this a surprise so asking her is out of the question.

My BM's used my wedding colors for my shower invite and at the shower itself.  It was really cute!

I think using the wedding colors for showers is very common.  I'd go for it!

Totally your call.  My colors are actually black and white, so my aunt added pink to make it girly.  I would personally go off of something that she loves that she isn't doing for the wedding.

I attended 4 showers in the past few months, and all of them had the same color scheme that the bride had picked out for the wedding. It's nice because you already know the bride will like the decor since she chose it for her wedding.

If you didn't want to use the Bride's color scheme, you could always do something fun and girly that all the women would like.  Maybe do like zebra print/pink or something fun like that (if it fits your bride)...I think it would be totally cute-- Plus u could have all kinds of fun with it and the invitations, cake, etc... Hope this helps!
