My fiance and I are having a relatively small (~50 guests) wedding in Jamaica. Most of the people we're inviting are family friends who live out of the country, so if I had a shower, most of the guests who will be invited to the wedding would not be able to attend.
Is it ok for my sisters to host a shower for the family and friends who live locally, even if they will not be invited to the wedding?
We are also having a large reception when we get back, so is it ok if we invite guests to the shower and the reception, but not the wedding itself?
