May 19th Shower...

I was thrown a shower on May 19th. We let the shower guests know that day that we were having to postpone the wedding. We found out the week before that the church was double booked. With all the change of date notices, new invitations and basically replanning the wedding, AND moving, my thank you notes got burried in a tote bag. I just found them! Do I need to stick an apology note for mailing them so late? Or call everyone and apologize? Or just let it go?

I guess I don't get why not being able to find TY notes delayed writing them. Couldn't you have just bought new ones? Or was it just confusing wording and writing them was delayed because of moving?

Either way, I would not mention them being late. It's been a month and a half, and while it's definitely preferable that they were written closer to the shower, I wouldn't say it's obscenely late like 6+ months out. Just write them nice TY notes and be done with it.

Just mail them, asap. I've recieved notes much later than that.

I wrote all the thank you's the day after the shower and checked them off my to do list.  I could have sworn that I mailed them that following Monday with the Change of Dates, but obviously I didn't.  Thanks for the input.  I dropped them by the post office on my way in to work this morning!
