kids too or just adults?

Hey ladies! So Im wondering, my mom asked me for a list of who I would want at my shower, FI's fam, friends etc. What I'm lost on is do I invite all the kids (girls) also, they will be invited to the wedding. Not sure if they should be invited to the shower as well or if that is more of an adult thing. Thanks!! :)

Unless their mothers are coming, or they are over the age of 16-18, I would not invite the children.

I might consider inviting any Junoir BMs or a flower girl with her mother... just to make them feel more involved/included as JBMs probably would not be in on a bach party... just my opinion... i have no JBMs or girls at all...

Their mothers would be invited, just not sure if the kids should be too or should I just stick to the 16-18 year old , even if the mothers will be there. Like on FI side there are a few family members that have young girls, ages 6-10 should I include them as well? Or should I just do like steveandkris said and just invite the flower girl since she is in the wedding party?

    Thank you ladies again :)

If you'll have a ton of little girls running around, then I personally wouldn't. But if it's only one or two and their mother really wants to bring them, I say let them.

I think it's a judgement call between you and the hostess.  I probably wouldn't invite very little girls, but I've been to showers where older girls (like 10 and up) who were close to the bride were there, and they had fun with it.  But, they kind of knew each other before and there were enough of them that they could hang out together while the adults did, and there were only maybe 3 or 4 of them. They were also very interested in and excited about the wedding.  I don't know that there is an etiquette problem with inviting them, as long as everyone agrees.

Its between you and the host really.  Do you want them there?  It sounds like there are more than just one or two so the thing you have going for you is that they'd be less likely to be bored if there are more of them.

I had all my girl cousins at my shower ages 7 on up.  (I'm the oldest of some 40 grandkids on both sides so there were a bunch).  And we had a blast.  The place the shower was at charged half price for them and honestly, they came in so handy.  They helped move the gift opening along - half taking turns bringing me something to open and the other half taking the opened presents away and bringing it around if people wanted a closer look and putting them in a neat pile when done.  It was awesome.  I know they really got a kick out of being involved - for most of them it was their first shower and they felt quite grown up and acted accordingly.
