We Eloped!!!

I know I'm NEVER here...but I just wanted to say I've in hiding because we eloped in June.   Now, I get to plan the wedding! Fun times...

Angelsong is right, you are already married and your elopement was your ceremony.  But, I think that planning a reception is acceptable!

Thanks!  True, we are already married.  We had a super tiny baseball wedding. Our families know because they were there. Actually everyone knows. Since we were planning a wedding anyway, our "wedding" has turned into a vow renewal. Plus my mother will KILL me if I don't wear the wedding dress she bought me when we first got engaged.

Congrats! I totally know where you're coming from. My and my now husband did the exact same thing! We didn't really elope, it was here and my parents and one of his friends were there, but we just went ahead and still did it. And yes, we are still planning a WEDDING, ceremony and all. Not 100% of our families know, (but the majority of them do) and our families still want to see us have a ceremony since they weren't there.

Anyways, go you! Glad to know there's someone else in the same boat

I'm glad someone understands our logic. Really, I just wanted to wear a pink dress and he really wanted a sports themed wedding...but we're too nice to invite our friends to hang out in 107 degree heat for a wedding! I still wanted a wedding though so we decided to just do both!
