Engagement Party Thank Yous?

My fiance and I are getting thrown an engagement party this weekend with all of our friends (only a few family members are coming)- and it is nothing fancy, it is just at a local bar with an area that is reserved for us, dancing, dj, etc. Do we need to send out thank you cards to all of the guests that come?

    You don't need to send TY notes for attending but you do need to send a TY note to the hosts and to anyone who may give you a gift.

    I semi agree with PP.

    I think that you should send out TY to everyone who attends especially those who do give you gifts.

    The party is in your honor and friends are coming to it... whether or not they give you a gift you should still thank them for coming and sharing in this special time in your lives..

    Definitely to the hosts !

    You do not need to send thank yous to everyone who attends.  It would be fine to just say "thank you for coming" in person as  you see them at the party.  Send thank yous if you receive any gifts, and thank your host.
