Engagement Party- Favors?

I have not been to an engagement party in forever so I honestly don't remember much but do you receive favors? My parents are throwing my fiance and I our Epary next weekend and it just occured to me that we do not have any favors? Do we need them? Is this the norm?

Never heard of favors at an e-party and I certainly wouldn't expect them. Don't worry about it.

MIL gave out ring cookies at our E party.  It was a cute touch but not necessary at all.

No, favors are definitely not necessary.

We handed out our STD magnets, votive candles, and personalized matches at our e-party, but we knew they weren't needed. Definitely don't stress over coming up with favors unless you already have a good idea and it's in the budget.

If you have it in your budget there is nothing wrong with it, but not necessary.

Yeah, not necessary but could be a cute touch. We did Hershey's hugs and kisses wrapped in tulle and put a tag on it that said "Hugs and Kisses from the Future Mr. and Mrs." I thought it was cute, but half the people didn't even take them, lol.
