    Traditionally, the groom's parents host the RD.  Obviously, that's not always what happens, but I think that's what's traditional.

    Traditionally, the groom's parents host the RD.  But you shouldn't ask them to; they will offer if they wish to.

    Traditionally, the groom's parents paid for and hosted the RD and the brides parent's paid for the wedding. The parents planned those events to suit their budgets and styles. Traditionally, young women and men lived with their parents until they married, with little resources of their own. Things have changed and it's all up in the air now.The bride and groom should expect to pay for everything themselves, unless someone else offers.

      Traditionally it's the groom's parents. My mom and my FMIL are cohosting the RD.
