I'm checking out your BIO now, but I wanted to say good luck with the job hunt. I'm also looking for a teaching position. I just graduated in May and I applied to a zillion districts and did not get one single interview (except a pity interview at the school that I student taught, which was good practice and I am thankful for).

Thanks AmberMarie...I feel ya b/c I have been applying to EVERYTHING I feel.  My fellow teacher friends tell me just keep reaching out to principals, but at some point I can't just stalk them all the time   At least you went to a college, I have an alternative certification so it's harder for me.  I am seriously consider the whole substitute teaching this year in order to get my foot in the door.

That's what I'm doing, subbing. Hoping to get my foot in the door! I also got additional certification in ESL hoping that will help and they are opening up registration for the GT supplemental test this month (test is in October) so I plan to do that also. But, it seems to be who you know not what you know!
