First time being an MOH here...question about money

Hi,

I've read the responsibilities of the MOH. I just have a question about the money factor. When throwing the bridal shower and bachelorette party--I've heard that the cost can be split between the MOH and bridesmaids. This is correct, right?

I was asked to be the MOH and as much as I love my friend, I am concern about the cost. I can't afford to shell out money for everything she request. She's high maint. and I am not.

    Just to add on to what retread said, please ask each bridesmaids individually. Asking them in a group, even a mass email, is super awkward.
