please help with ideas on what to wear to my bridal shower?

hello!

my BM'S and mother are throwing me my bridal shower this saturday and I am not sure on what to wear? I have never been to one before so I don't no if you wear jean dresses or what? It is a casual thing, but I still want to look cute. Also it is very COLD here in Co this week so that is also making it harder for me to find something to wear.

Ditto pp.. maybe a sweater dress with leggings or tights underneath? I'm always an advocate to dress up a little. Our society is way too casual and I love an excuse to dress up a little. Most of the women at the bridal showers I've been to wear sundresses but since this is in the winter in a cold climate, I love the suggestion of a sweater dress or a dress paired with leggings or black tights. You're the bride, enjoy! :0)

Definitely the sweater dress or tunic would be a good idea. I 'm also a fan of heels and super cute sweater or nice blouse with jeans to stay warm.

Overall you'll be the guest of honor and the center of attention so you don't really want to look like you don't care about the sweet gesture they're doing for you.

 I think it's always better to be overdressed than underdressed. I agree with PPs and think a sweater dress or nice jeans with a dressy top and shoes sounds good.
