Need some advice pls

So my MOH has already told me that she has taken time off for a Bridal Shower for me the 3rd weekend of May. I'm getting married at the end of August. This seems a bit early, but it's not my party to throw, and she's already gone to the trouble of booking things (which I just found out today). I LOVE her for being so excited for me, and so willing to throw me a shower, but is this awkwardly-early?? I'm happy just breathing a big sigh and moving past this if I'm over-thinking, just hoping for some input. Thanks!

ETA: She lives about 4 hours away and would be coming to Seattle to do the shower, in case it matters that she's an OOT MOH.

    I think if people want to give you a bridal shower - it really doesnt matter when it is, even if your wedding is about 4 months beforehand. You may just be overthinking it a little and I'm sure none of the potential attendees will think its too early. They will probably be excited for some good company and to see you :)
